By May 6, 2015 November 19th, 2015 AfrikaBurn, Photography

We followed a group of Btech students from CPUT to the 2015 Afrikaburn festival in the Tankwa Karoo, the goal was to show people how precious water is utilising design as a medium and the stark environment as a platform. Essentially – what can be more precious than water in the desert?
Here is the the 15 min documentary telling their story.

The Tankwa karoo is a vast place and the complexity of the builds at Afrika Burn add a truly dynamic feel to a place that could be regarded as lifeless at first glance. The following stills are a visual representation of the journey that is Afrika burn.
