Round 2 of the WP downhill series took place this weekend, with another new track added to the 2012 calendar. Zevenwacht DH was resurrected after 6 years of slumber, to host a very successful weekend of racing, with 85 riders taking part. The track was fast and flowy and not very technical – making it a lot of fun and suitable for DH riders of all skill levels. Read More
The Night Harvest is a Dirt Jump Jam that was held on the 24th of February 2012 @ Potato Trails, Cape Town, South Africa. A main line was assembled consisting of 3 doubles, a hip, step up bridge and quarter pipe. After that the riders rode a separate line with one main jump for best trick. Once again the notorious Contermanskloof downhill main line played host to the KTM Western Province Championships. The heat and demanding terrain took its toll on a few riders and on the final day the ongoing battle between the top 3 seeds , Andrew, Johann & Stefan came to a head. Read More
I was Invited by the Good Life to be part of the crew shooting the 2012 Rolling Retro surf day at Llundudno Cape Town, some of the best surfers in SA had a go on the vintage and re-shaped retro boards including Jordy Smith and Roosta. It was an amazing day with unusually warm water, a sunfish that was mistaken for a shark and a bulldog that could surf. Read More
Hot Heels Africa is the final leg of the IGSA downhill world cup of skating, luge and classic luge. The event takes place over three days in the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve which is an hours drive east of Cape Town South Africa close to Pringle Bay. This year saw 61 riders with a good international turnout. Read More
